Things will move quickly, once you hear of your acceptance, so do not forget to make a your visa appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Dublin for this coming summer.

The College Board Announces Major Changes to the SAT

In early March 2014, the College Board announced substantial changes the SAT, including a return to the original 1600 point scale. The College Board indicated that the purpose of this redesign is to more effectively assess student readiness for college.

Joanne Davidson, EducationUSA Manager at the Fulbright Commission of Ireland, gave an introductory EducationUSA presentation to an all-girls' secondary school in Dublin, Alexandra College, at the beginning of February 2014. Sonya McGuinness, U.S. Program Manager at the Fulbright Commission, joined Joanne at this event, as she is an alumnus of Alexandra College.

Excited Irish Students!
Excited Irish Students!

On Saturday, February 15th, 2014, the annual day-long seminar for prospective Irish students who are looking to go to college in America took place in Dublin's IBAT College.

This year’s event was one of the most successful on record, with over 110 people attending. The event was so well-subscribed that a waiting list was used and attendees were notified up until the very last minute (midnight the night before) of open spots.

Opportunities in Law Event Hosted by Mason Hayes & Curran

On Thursday, March 20th, 2014, Mason Hayes & Curran hosted approximately 30 guests at the launch of the new Fulbright-University of Pennsylvania LL.M. Award. This new award, which will officially open in August 2014 for the 2015-2016 academic year, is a unique opportunity for an Irish student to travel to the U.S. to study for a general LL.M. at one of the leading universities in the U.S.
